You may not have been part of an a cappella group in college, but this film makes us all wish we were! Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2 are perfect date night movies because they have something for everyone! Husband wants comedy? Check! Wife wants romance? Check! Husband wants action? They have flying Mexican food! Wife wants a musical? They have pop hits! {We always finish the night thinking we can belt it like the Bellas!} Enjoy a night full of laughs and fun with your sweetie and Pitch Perfect!
To really amp up the fun, Joanna from JAB Creative Australia created the most beautiful printables to accompany this date! As any good date should, this one starts out with an adorable invite that implores your sweetie, “Don’t you forget about it!” {you totally sang that in your head didn’t you? We did!} Simply fill in the blanks and you are ready to go!
When the big night comes you can also plan a little a cappella karaoke for 2! Remember the Pitch Perfect riff offs? Have one of your own with this adorable spinner. There are 2 ways you can put it together. If you want the categories to be a surprise use the window wheel cover that only shows the winning category. If you want to see all the possibilities there’s also a little arrow you can put in the middle. We used an adorable star shaped brad to connect ours, {because let’s be honest, we all want to be stars} but any will work. Remember to use some great quality cardstock to help the spinner do it’s job.
If you’re going to be watching a movie like Pitch Perfect {especially if you do a marathon and watch both in one night} you are going to need treats, maybe even treats for your fat hearts! 😉 These adorable food options and tags will keep the theme going and keep your stomachs from rumbling. We have Flying Mexican Food {This was a burrito in the film, so if you want to do a full dinner that is a GREAT option, we stuck with chips and salsa since we had already eaten}, Pop Music Popcorn {a MUST for movie night}, Gills Like a Fish {we paired this with Goldfish crackers}, and Awesome Nerds {with Nerd candies of course}. For our drink we kept it simple with some Aca-Agua!
After you’re both pros at quoting Pitch Perfect we have a little matching/memory game for you. Flip all of the cards over and take turns turning 2 over. Your goal is to match the character with their quote! No matter if you win, or your spouse wins there may be something sweet coming for both of you…
