Spring Cleaning: Get Your Beauty Products in Order!

1. Get rid of excess.

The first step is to get rid of any products that you don’t use anymore. It’s time to bring out every single bottle and compact and check for expiration dates and get rid of anything you haven’t used in the last few months. It’s worth analyzing what you really use and what’s just sitting around. This will help you save space on the shelves and cabinets in your bathroom.

However, keep in mind that a “failed” product can always be given a second life. For example:

You can use micellar water to remove stains from clothes. Use hair conditioner instead of shaving gel. Repurpose shampoo to wash delicate clothing.

Old toothbrushes can be used for cleaning and you can recycle old bottles by doing some at-home DIY projects. We love upcycling our already recycled Love Beauty and Planet bottles to DIY makeup brush holders. Ideally, after you finish organizing and purging, you’ll be left with your favorite products, smart storage solutions, and no excess in the bathroom.

2. Invest in hooks and organizers.

The main part of the cleaning, namely getting rid of excess, is behind you. Are you already breathing easier? Now it’s important to organize how you store the things you decided to keep. Buy some storage bins for different categories of products and install some shelving so that everything can be organized neatly. Ideally, everything should have a place.

3. Clean the shower curtain and rug.

While you clean, you can remove the shower curtain, and give it a wash while you wipe down all the bathroom fixtures. It is important to keep the shower curtain and bathmat clean so that the entire bathroom feels tidy and fresh. Congratulations! You’ve already done most of the work. All that’s left to do is dust and wash the mirror! Consider adding a few candles, buying a new bottle of hand soap, and even hanging some plants in your bathroom.
